Lab member Sophia Jannetty co-manages the University of Washington Biology Department graduate student blog SciPos. The blog is a platform for graduate students to share their work and for prospective students to learn about the department.
Lab member Maddy Scott is working with local biology makerspace SounBio to develop an outreach program for middle schoolers. Life Science Explorers is an afterschool opportunity for students ages 12-14 to gain hands-on experience with molecular biology by collecting and sequencing moss samples from their local environments.
